...On The Faith Of Believers And Non-Believers

After much observation I must contend -- it appears that it requires just as much faith to sustain the belief in God, as it does to sustain the total non-belief in God.

If this is in fact true, it conveys the impression that Theists and Atheists are both sheep -- they are simply on different sides of the pasture.

What is faith and non-faith in a dream? Both chasing after chimera. "Each man dreams his dream until he is awakened." (Calderon de la Barca, "La vida es sueno")
The sound of the Gion Shoja temple bells echoes the impermanence of all things; the hue of the "sala" flower declares that all that flourishes must fall; love cannot endure; like an evening dream in spring, friendship perishes, dust before the wind. Huang Di.

eeLighten up! You have soooo many issues. Faith is of the heart, you just know deep down it is true and that there is a loving God watching over us. How do you know for sure that God doesn't exist up there? Ah, there, I gotcha smarty pants. Stop thinkig too much and just let your self go and believe. Isn't it better to believe in Jesus than to think everything is all chance and screwed up. Just remember, you may not believe in God, but he believes in you! Georgina Bucchi III
